Busy Week!

Look at this sleepy guy. He is almost 9 months old, and I can't bear to move him to his crib. I know, I know. It's time. It's past time. But since the tornado, I always have these"what if's" in my mind about him not being in my sight 24-7, and that includes night. I had parent-teacher conferences this week, so 2 nights Chris had to put him to sleep. And guess what?? He put him down in his crib! And he slept! But then...I got home. After a long day of missing my little guy. So what do I do? I pick our sleeping baby up from his crib, and take him into bed with us. Sigh. I am hopeless.
Heehee, here is Owen, watching the Chiefs game on Sunday. He was peeved that they didn't get the pass-interference call at the end of the game. Darn refs...

Go Chiefs!

And this is my chubby boy, on our way home from Zona Rosa on Sunday. We tried to stop at Hodge Park to get some pics, but he had a melt-down and wanted to go home...so we went. But I had to sit in the backseat with him. That's okay. He is cute, so I will let it slide. :o) And you can see his new tooth here! That puppy is SHARP!

My little monkey...

Owen is going to be a monkey for Halloween! We are pretty glad that it is only 1 week away, seeing as how his 12 month size costume is already too small. :o) He doesn't mind his costume, as long as we don't make him stay in it for very long. Stay tuned for more pics...I have a Halloween "photo-shoot" in mind for this weekend! Speaking of this weekend, we are busy! On Saturday Owen and I are going to Gymboree with Beckie and Izzy Palmer. We are so excited! I will also be putting the deposit down for Owen's 1st Birthday party. Sigh. How is it even possible?

Byrums

Today I went out with my Aunt Teresa and my cousins Amanda and Emily to take some pics. We spent most of the time driving around looking for Hodge Park, which we never found. :o) Here are a few pics that we did manage to get...I hope you like them! Next time I will have to be more sneaky around Amanda...that girl is VERY aware of the camera, lol! I didn't have one pic of her not cheesing for the camera!! Love her!

Boo-Boo's, Bathtime and Baby Teeth

Owen got his first boo-boo. We aren't exactly sure what happened, but we have a sneaking suspicion that he smacked himself with the remote. Good thing he is tough. We are going to have to move the coffee table, seeing as how he is ALWAYS rolling into it now that he is more mobile. It is like his head is a magnet for the table legs.
He loves to take baths. He gets the entire bathroom soaking wet, since he just learned how to make BIG splashes. Here he is, demanding for me to lotion his butt. :o) Good thing he has a cute hiney. I don't think that it is possible for me to love him any more!
Oh this face. I was taking pics, and this is his "I'm through" face. He was even growling at me...yikes! I caught this pic mid-growl, and you can see his little tooth! I miss his gummy smile, but the new tooth is growing on me.

Dinner

We have started giving Owen bits of table food at dinner. Tonight he had shredded cheese, Mum Mums, Cheerios, and bananas. He LOVED the bananas, but they were too slippery for him to grab, so he settled for the cheese and cheerios and Mum Mums. I can't believe that my little guy is eating "people food." It doesn't seem possible that he is old enough! He cracks me up when he smiles now...his little tooth is getting bigger and bigger each day. I miss his gummy smile, though. He is still trying to figure out locomotion. He is able to scoot forward, but he hasn't really "crawled" yet, in the true sense of the word. I'm not complaining, though. :o)

More Hayden...

I am officially in love. :o) Here is another pic that I just finished proofing...

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumpkin patch yesterday, and had a blast! Here we are, waiting for our train ride. Owen had so much fun. He got so excited when the train whistle would go off, lol.

Mr. Serious is waiting for Uncle Lester's Pig Race. One of Owen's favorite things to do is pull hair, and there was a little girl in front of us who had a pretty blond ponytail. He came *thisclose* to grabbing ahold of it. Luckily, her parents thought it was pretty funny!

He loooved the donkeys! He kept hootin' and hollerin' when the donkey would move. My little animal lover. :o)
Here is he again, yelling at the donkey.

Here is the obligitory picture of the kid in the pumpkin...
And his little hand stamp, official admission into Carolyn's Pumpkin Patch. I even had a lapse in judgement and let him have the tiniest sip of my apple cider slush. For those of you who know me, I am a PSYCHO-FREAK about what goes into his mouth, so that was huge for me. Anyways, I am sitting here editing more pics from Baby Hayden's session, and thought that I would share pics from yesterday!

Baby Hayden

My good friend, Lynsey, and her husband Danny just welcomed their first baby into the world a little over a week ago. They were sweet enough to let me come over and take a few pics of the little man. And let me tell you...I have the fever. Baby fever, that is! He is a perfect little subject...slept almost the whole time, and allowed me plenty of time. The only thing holding us back was the fact that we were losing light! :o) Here you go Lynsey and Danny! I hope you enjoy the sneak peek!

Welcome!

Here are some recent photos of my sweet baby, Owen. He just turned 8 months old...where has the time gone??
