After lots of hard work on my sweet husband's part...the basement is done! Well, with the exception of the bathroom, which just needs a mirror...I didn't take pics of it yet. Here is our wonderful new couch! It is the perfect thing for our family to sprawl out on, and Owen has turned it into a jungle gym. And the cupholders are perfect for sippy-cups, just to let you know.

"HOLD YOU, MOMMY!!"

Our new TV, and a smattering of O's toys that are slowly taking over the space...hmm. I sense a recurring theme in our home...

YES! The slide/climber has finally made it out of the upstairs living room! Chris is so happy, I can't even describe it, lol.

The walk-out area, Chris put in slate tile. Please excuse the mess...these are our snowy clothes that we had to ditch here after playing in the snow this afternoon. :o)

The play closet. The paint color closely resembles that of a blue hilighter. We were at Lowes, and Chris was pressuring me to pick something for the closet...and this is what happens when you pressure me. I make terrible decisions, lol. The toy organizer is amazing. Each bin holds different things.. We have a ball bin, a critters/animals bin, a cars bin, a block bin, etc. My grand plan is to take pics of each of the contents, and fasten them to the handles of each bin, to make clean up easier and also have a sorting activity for Owen. Methinks this will never happen.

The other side of the play closet. We have a bin of dinosaurs, bag of blocks, bin of Choo-Choo trains, and a tool bench. No shortage of toys at this house, my friends!

We are so happy with this!! Chris did an amazing job of giving us some extra space. And as an added bonus he saved us a ton of cash by doing everything himself!! I love being married to someone who can take on a project like this! He is so awesome. All in all, it isn't a HUGE space, but it definitely serves it's purpose! My friend Christina affectionately calls this the "toddler cave" lol. How right she is!
