Owen's 2nd Birthday!

Owen is 2! We had a big party at Air Zone to celebrate. It was so much fun, and he had so many people there who love him to pieces. He is SO into dinosaurs right now, so we ran with that theme! Here is O, waking up from his nap before we left for his party! He was so excited that it took me forever to get him to fall asleep! He kept screaming "HAPPY DAY!!!" and trying to jump on the bed because he was so excited, lol.

I was so busy running around at the party, that I really didn't get that many pictures, which stinks. We had about 12 kids there that were under 3 years old, and a ton of O's aunts and uncles and cousins. It was definitely a full house! Here are Owen and Izzy P., and Gavin playing in the first jump-jump.

Adelyn! She is hysterical!

In the 2nd play area, there was a HUGE slide, and everytime Owen would go down it, he would squeal the entire way down, and everyone would cheer for him, lol. He thought that he was the king of the slide. I was shocked that all of the little ones made it up to the top! It had a huge staircase that they had to climb up. When Owen tried to go up the first time, he fell and took out a few kids, lol. Luckily they just fell down and stayed, versus falling down to the bottom.

O's delicious birthday cake. I purposely bought it bigger than necessary so that my large pregnant self could indulge on the leftovers. :o) Owen called this his "happy cake." :o) After the kids had played on the inflatables for an hour, it was time for cake/presents/pizza. Owen was definitely spoiled by his wonderful family and friends!!

At home, after the party. His Aunt La-La (Laura) bought this balloon boquet for him, and he is (still) in LOVE with the giant T-Rex balloon. It is still hanging in there, in our basement, and he plays with it every day!! When it is deflated we are going to hang it in his play closet...it is too cute to throw away! We definitely had a wonderful day, and the kids all seemed to have fun.

Owen, here are some things that I want to always remember about you being 2 years old. You are such a big boy, and you are ALL boy. You love anything that has to do with sports, especially basketball, lately. You have an amazing pitching arm, and you are getting good at catching, also! You talk ALL.THE.TIME, although pretty much only me and daddy can "get" what you mean. :o) You are such a stinker, and are always trying to make me and daddy laugh. One of your favorite things to do is, when I am cooking in the kitchen, you will get the tongs out of the drawer and chase me around trying to pinch my bum. Your dad is pretty thrilled with that, because he taught you to do it! You are a total monkey, and constantly amaze/scare me when you find new things to climb on. You are still the world's worst eater. Your favorite foods are peanut butter, cheese, yogurt, cereal, fruits, fruit snacks, Pirate's Booty, pizza, Chicken McNuggets, PopTarts, and popsicles. You don't eat much else!! You are going to become a big brother soon, and we are so excited for you. You love Hot Wheel cars, and you pretty much get one every time we go to Target because they are only $1, and that encourages you to behave while mommy shops. :o) Your fine motor skills are INSANE. You can work a screwdriver, pour drinks into cups, etc. It is truly amazing. You love animals. Your babysitter has a 225 lb dog, and you still think it is a cow. You are a total snuggle-bunny, and your favorite phrase is "Hold you, mommy!" You love to help your daddy when he works on something, and you are so observant. You pick up on the smallest things, and then weeks later you will repeat something that you have seen and send your dad and me into fits of laughter. You love Baby Einstein animal movies, but lately you have become scared (?) of pigs and raccoons when they come on the screen. You are a funny boy, Owen. :o) You constantly are testing boundaries, which I know is your job as a 2 year old. Your daddy and I joke that God made you extra cute, because you are an extra-stinker. We love you more than you will ever know, Owen!! We are so thankful to God for giving you to us, we never knew how much we were missing before you came into our lives. We are excited for what lies ahead for you...sports, school, friends, etc...but at the same time we aren't ready for you to grow up! I can't believe you are already 2 years old. Love you, big guy!
